AOS started converting to RoHS Compliant products in August 2004 and is proud to announce full conversion on July 1, 2005. AOS RoHS Compliant products are fully in-line with European RoHS and SS0259. This compliance will meet the most stringent requirements demanded by customers today.
RoHS and WEEE are European (EU) directives for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and for restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS). Among other things, these directives restrict the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment shipped into the EU effective July 1, 2006.
AOS has taken care to ensure that Pb free components are solderable using both current Lead and Lead free PCB assembly process. This ensures that our Pb free products can be integrated regardless of whether the assembly processes have already been converted to Pb free or not. (Notes: base on JESD22B102C-Solderability).
All AOS Pb free products have passed SGS tests, reliability tests (including Pb free reflow requirement) and Tin whisker test, etc.
